Avaaz is at risk from Trump's tactics

 

Friend, friend, Honestly, Avaaz has never faced threats like this before! Trump targets his opponents and has the full support of the American state. For a decade, we have been vigorously fighting against what he represents. We know he is watching over us, and we are in danger. In the last year, we have seen: Organizations like Avaaz ( avaaz@avaaz.org ) to be put on Trump's "list" for investigation. A new plan by the US government to suppress progressive civil society, which it describes as "a vast domestic terrorist network." The threat of imposing huge taxes on US-based nonprofit organizations. Devastating sanctions and punishments for organizations and leaders involved in global human rights. As the leader of Avaaz, I assure you that we will not be silenced. But that is why we must protect ourselves by strengthening our legal defense, increasing our digital security, and protecting our staff. We do not want to use resources from critical Avaaz campaigns.
